Emergency services are provided by the military, coastguard, lifeboat, mountain rescue, mine rescue, cave rescue, technical rescue, search and rescue, emergency management, bomb disposal, air search as well as blood/organ transplant supply. To qualify for this job you must have:
- The ability to receive and process information as rapidly as you can so that you can make timely decisions that are consistent with the organization's values to establish service delivery plan.
- Computer skills are important to be able to process prompt and accurate reports, and send emails.
- The ability to recognize stress so the current understanding of the organization's service strategy is necessary
- The ability to acquire knowledge and understanding about the job and implement the delivery service strategies
- Receive, screen calls and assess the appropriate response then provide mobilization and support from the team within the jurisdiction.
- Be able to provide support to disaster by mobilizing team members, collect information from the response team and maintain activity log.
- Since they are the first to arrive at the scene of the accident, they should be able to provide basic emergency medical care to be able to assist patients
- Use equipment to immobilize patients and securing them for transport to a medical facility.
- They also work as a member of the flight crew to transport critically injured patients
- Helps in the transfer of patients to emergency departments
- Provides emergency treatment and help transfer patients to emergency department
