We are currently recruiting for a Plumbing Fire/Protection Engineer in our growing building services team. This role will see you technically and creatively challenged on some of the most interesting developments in the US and further afield. What will I be doing?
Input to the projects is likely to be varied but will include the requirement to:
The provision of technical / detailed design engineering services to the broader building services team and a responsibility for schematic design through construction administration to a range of external clients.
Delivery of detailed design across plumbing and fire protection disciplines that include sanitary/waste/vent systems and rainwater drainage systems, domestic hot,cold- and hot water return systems, standpipes and sprinkler design.
Engages with all disciplines to promote a coordinated developed design.
What can I bring to the role?
As an Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate:
Experience of working in a P/FP engineering role and a broad design knowledge and experience of running of US building services projects
Understanding of Green plumbing design and systems like rainwater harvesting systems, black and grey water systems, Domestic hot water pre heat, and/or electrification.
Knowledge of using Revit, Bluebeam and BIM360
Able to review and analyze code if in new and unfamiliar areas and has a deep understanding of IPC, NFPA, related plumbing standards and aware of UPC.
A self-starter, you'll have a confident, proactive and organized approach to your work, team and clients
A relevant Bachelor or Master degree is preferred
PE and a professional in ASPE or ISPE, with a LEED AP accreditation desirable
Ideally experience in the commercial sector.
